Maui - Day 7

The next morning began by the pool (naturally).

Carolyn and Kylie enjoyed the slide.

Aaron had scraped his foot on some coral a few days prior, and it didn't seem to be healing. In fact, we feared infection because his foot had become swollen, tender, and red. The resort staff sent someone up to check it out. They didn't really do much but bandage it up, but thankfully it healed up on it's own over the next few days.

We went up to Honolua Bay for some morning snorkeling.

You take a nice little nature walk through the jungle to get to the bay.

And there is no sandy beach. Just lots and lots of rocks!

Jeremiah, Carolyn, and Aaron did some snorkeling, while Lisa and I stayed on the rocks with the younger children. (Jeremiah and Aaron took me back a few days later while Lisa so kindly watched all the kids at the resort.)

Kylie was interested in the barnacles that were attached to the rocks at the water's edge.

As we drove back down to Ka'anapali, we enjoyed the scenery.

That evening we ventured back down to Front Street in a quest to find the best shave ice on the island! We found it at Ulani's. Sooooo yummy!

We looked at the various shops and vendors along the street. Clint Eastwood was there filming something, so a stretch of the street was closed off and there were false fronts on the stores. It was interesting.

We went back to the condo for the DELICIOUS pot roast Jeremiah had prepared. It was cooked to perfection and was so wonderful to come home to!

Then we crashed into bed. We needed to rest up for our big day tomorrow!
