Maui - Day 2

Our first morning in Maui, we woke up really early and wandered over to Kama'ole Beach I, which is right across the street from our condo.

I love, love, love early mornings in Hawaii! Walks along the beach at dawn are about as peaceful as it gets.

Carolyn ran straight for the water, of course.
Jeremiah and Carolyn were water buddies the whole trip, always drawn into the ocean together.

Kylie did some writing in the sand.

The morning sun came out and lit everything up!

After some food, we went to the pool to play for a little while.
The girls are such great friends and had lots of fun together in the pool!

Carolyn and another little girl went gecko hunting.

They found several!

Later, we decided to head down to Polo Beach. While we were there, a big pod of whales swam right past! I was amazed at how well we could see them from the shore! It was incredible. Little did we know this was only the first of many whale sightings we would enjoy during this trip.

Carolyn and Aaron ventured out into the waves.

Kylie and Lisa worked on some sand art.

Jeremiah and Carolyn decided it was time to break out the boogie boards!

They got A LOT of use through the week by Jeremiah, Aaron, and Carolyn.

Kylie wanted to write her name in the sand, so Jeremiah helped her do it big!

Back at the condo, we made another stop at the pool.

Later, Jeremiah and Kylie went to the store for groceries, so Carolyn, Isaiah, and I took a stroll down Kihei Road.

We walked along the Kama'ole beaches and parks.

The kids loved playing in the sand and water.

It was a beautiful day in paradise!
