We moved in last week, and though there are still odds and ends needing to be dealt with (touch up paint, window washing, towel rods, etc.) , we are so happy to finally be living here!
Getting all of our things OUT of the other house was a huge, miserable task. We have amassed far too much stuff over the years, and I am more determined than ever to go through everything and DE-JUNK!! It would have made moving far easier had I done this BEFORE moving so we didn't have to waste time and energy moving things that are destined for D.I., Ebay, or the dump.... But as of yesterday the house is FINALLY empty and clean, so our renters can move in.

I've lately been in the "get this stuff out of my house!" mood. We don't have plans to move (yet), but I've about had it with so much of our stuff. I've been looking at our house through the eyes of, say, an African villager and realizing we not only are extremely blessed, but we have so much that is just 'there,' not serving any sort of purpose and not adding to our joy. It's just dust on the sill, so to speak.
I wish you energy and wisdom in paring down your belongings!
Congrats! We are in the cleaning out stage too. Hopefully this weather will cooperate and let me make multiple trips to the dumpster. LOL Good luck with your move and getting things in place.
Congratulations on the new move in. I've been right there with you on the whole de-junking thing. We went through that moving to Puerto Rico. Have fun with it:)
