Apparently, Sally CAN and WILL eat fish much larger than her normal fare. Spot is missing.
The girls were not thrilled with this discovery but took it rather well. Fortunately, my kids have seen Houdini eat many a mouse, so they are familiar with the idea that some animals eat other animals in the circle of life.
Still, we are debating whether we should give the remaining fish, Riley, her own digs or just let nature take it's course (since the fish WERE intended as turtle food before they became pets). What to do, what to do....

Wow....they took it well?! Good for them. Poor little fishy.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Maybe Spot saw the PBS commercial to "be more empowered" and is now flinging himself upstream with the salmon.
How are you? Kids and pets they love them. Your family is so cute!
You seem to be a bit braver than me when it comes to pets. We don't have any and you have a snake, a turtle and some fish or at least one fish. Anyway, it sounds like you have guys have a lot of fun with them:)
